Plural Nouns
In Gobbledegook, plural nouns do not exist. In order to distinguish between singular and plural, you must rely on context. For example, instead of “I like books,” a goblin might say, “I like book.” If a goblin is just talking about books, we can assume that he likes books in general. If the goblin is holding a book, he probably means that he likes that particular book. Therefore, context dictates that book is singular.
Alternatively, he could also say "I like this book," or "Zik kip rad klak," which translates literally to “I like book this.

Articles
Articles like the words a, an, and the also do not exist in Gobbledegook. While it may take some getting used to for non-native speakers, you will eventually learn to, again, rely on context to distinguish the difference between "read a book" and "read the book."
